Are you also waiting for that SMS of ₹2000 credited in your bank account? The wait is almost over. The Central Government has started the process for the first installment of 2026.
But before you get happy, there is a very critical update you need to know.
This year, the government has made the rules very strict (Niyam sakht kar diye hain). According to the latest reports, lakhs of names have been removed from the beneficiary list. This has happened because many farmers have not completed their e-KYC or their Land Records (Bhulekh) are not verified on the portal.
The big question is: Is your name still on the list, or has it been cut?

Why are names being removed in 2026?
You might be thinking, “I got the last installment, so I will get this one too.” Galatfehmi mat paliye (Don’t make this mistake).
The government is running a strict verification drive to remove ineligible people. Your money can get stuck (atak sakta hai) for three main reasons:
- Adhura e-KYC: If you haven’t done OTP or Biometric verification, your account is considered “Inactive”.
- Land Seeding No: This is the most common problem. If your “Khata/Khasra” number is not digitally linked to your PM Kisan ID, the system will stop your payment.
- Aadhaar Mismatch: If the spelling of your name on your Bank Account and Aadhaar Card is different, the DBT transfer will fail.
When will the Next Installment come?
Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, farmers get ₹6000 every year in three installments.
- April – July
- August – November
- December – March
Currently, the preparations for the 2026 Installment are in full swing. Media reports suggest that PM Modi could release the money anytime in February or March 2026, just before Holi.
But remember: The money will only come if your status shows “FTO Processed: YES”.
How to Check Your Status (Step-by-Step)
If you are confused, just follow these simple steps:
- Click your State in the table given above.
- On the next page, select your District (Zilla) and Village.
- Enter your Mobile Number.
- The system will show your “Beneficiary Status”.
Check three things on the screen:
- ✅ Land Seeding: YES
- ✅ e-KYC Status: YES
- ✅ Aadhaar Bank Seeding: YES
If all three are GREEN, then congratulations! Your ₹2000 is confirmed.
